3AW has sacked a number of its on-air personalities in an attempt to arrest its ratings freefall.
Craig Hutchison, executive producer of sport Ralph Horowitz and comedians Trevor Marmalade and Dr Turf were informed today their services were no longer required.
The most recent radio ratings were released on Tuesday, and 3AW was third behind Triple M and the ABC in all the football slots.
Triple M has won the coveted number one spot on Saturdays since Hutchison and Sam Newman departed, with its team of Garry Lyon, James Brayshaw and Brian Taylor.
Last year 3AW was rating 17.9 on Saturdays and 17.1 on Friday night, but it has now fallen to 9.4 and 9 for those times.
