The first week of the 2008 AFL Finals have been and gone. Geelong and Hawthorn pulled the pants off their opponents with easy wins. Collingwood upset Adelaide at AAMI Stadium and Sydney ended the Kangaroos' September dreams at an empty Telstra Stadium.
This weekend's games are:
Western Bulldogs v Sydney (Friday night, MCG)
St Kilda v Collingwood (Friday night, MCG)
Western Bulldogs are firm favourites against the Swans, going in at $1.83. The Swans are at $2.18 and have been heavily backed throughout this week.
I'm hesitant to tip against the Swans, they've turned the tables on so many tipsters before, but at $1.80 the Bulldogs are worth having the mortgage on.
Sport Talk's Best Bet of the Week is Western Bulldogs to beat Sydney at $1.83. Shop around before bounce down to get some late value, especially on Betfair.
Collingwood are at $1.75 to beat St Kilda. The Saints are trading at around $2.25, but it's hard to see them getting close to Collingwood on last week's form. That said, St Kilda are the most unpredictable side in the competition. The difference between their best and worst is vast.
Steer clear of this one and take any bets at the line.
