AFL: Geelong's Gary Ablett 14 goals v Essendon, 1993

Today, the Sport Talk Highlight Reel focuses its attention on the majestical Gary Ablett.
Ablett produced a number of amazing individual highlights, including some of the best marks and goals the VFL / AFL has ever seen.
But today’s Highlight Reel comes from round six, 1993, when Ablett booted 14.7 goals against Essendon at the MCG.
This a long clip, so patience is required to view it in its entirety, but the first couple of minutes should give you a fair idea of just how good Ablett was when he was on song.
Highlight: The vision between 1:54 and 2:02, Essendon clears the ball from the Geelong forward line, but the ball is marked by Paul Couch, who loads up a 40-metre kick to the ‘hot-spot’ where Ablett takes an unbelievably strong mark against Derek Kickett and Chris Daniher.
Amazingly, Essendon actually went on to win the game (and the 1993 AFL Premiership), 23.18 (156) to 19.18 (132). Paul Salmon booted 10 goals for the Bombers.
Random fact: A youthful James Hird was one of the players tried by Kevin Sheedy on Ablett that day, after Chris Daniher and Derek Kickett had been towelled up.
The best individual performance ever seen in the history of the game?
