AFL Round Seven - Tips & Best Bets
May 2nd 2008 23:12
Ok, this is a day late - but I'm not going to sit here and say I would have tipped Carlton last night (even though I would have).
I've had three funerals, two weddings and two 21st birthdays in the past four weeks! What a month, glad the footy is up and running to keep me sane!
Selections for AFL Round 7
Geelong to beat Brisbane by 47 points
Hawthorn to beat Collingwood by 32 points
St Kilda to beat Richmond by 22 points
Adelaide to beat North Melbourne by 12 points
Western Bulldogs to beat Sydney by 8 points
Fremantle to beat Melbourne by 18 points
Essendon to beat Port Adeladie by 15 points
Sport Talk's Best Bet of the Round (we're going for four in a row!) is Essendon to beat Port Adelaide at $4.
The Bombers are down and out at the moment. Injury ravaged is the buzz word, but the Dons have been 'trying' to play good running football.
They've looked solid in patches. The first quarter against Collingwood was promising.
With a number of debutants and Matthew Knights keen to sure up his long term future, this home game at the Dome against the visiting Port Adelaide is a massive one.
Essendon will be pumped for a win and at the $4 odds there is some value.
Good luck all
