Bench Said Buster Posey At Fault
June 4th 2011 16:03
Johnny Bench played for the Cincinnati Reds when he was in the major league. He was the 1968 Rookie of the Year. Johnny Bench who is now a Hall of Famer (1989) and a spring training instructor for the Cincinnati Reds said, Buster Posey, the Giants' catcher was at fault for his own injury. Bench said that he stood there like a disabled car in the middle of a four-way lane. He also said that Buster Posey should have stayed away from home plate and worked his way back to the plate. On May 25, Buster Posey received a broken bone in his lower left leg and three torn ligaments in his ankle when Scott Cousins (Florida Marlins) charged at him. Cousins has been receiving death threats ever since. The Giants' GM, Brian Sabean, called Scott Cousins play, malicious and unnecessary. Sabean said that he would be happy if Cousins never plays another day in the big leagues.
