Brandon Roy Dismantles Dallas Mavericks
April 24th 2011 01:17
What a finish the Trail Blazers had against the Dallas Mavericks, tonight. What seemed to be an insurmountable lead the Dallas Mavericks had going into the fourth quarter, 67-49, disappeared. At one point in the game, the Mavericks had it largest lead of the game at 23 points, 67-44, which seemed to be an easy win for Dallas. Then there was this guy who name happens to be Brandon Roy, who single-handily brought back his team into the game in the fourth. He scored 18 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter to help his team win, 84 to 82. Brandon Roy made a critical three pointer while being fouled in the process by Shawn Marion with one minute and six seconds left in the game. The four point play tied the game at 82 all, and then he hit a two pointer off the glass to give his team the lead with thirty-nine seconds left in the game. The Dallas Mavericks had a chance to win the game, when Brandon Roy shot a three with the shot clock running down that he missed, and Jason Kidd, who had nine points, grabbed the rebound and threw the ball down the court to Jason Terry, who could have won the game if he would have made the three at the end of game. Everyone would have forgotten about the lead that Dallas choked away. He ended up with 13 points. The series is now 2 to 2, and now the Portland Trail Blazers and the Dallas Mavericks head back to Dallas for game five on Monday.
