Bulls Dominate Behind Rose's 44
May 7th 2011 01:58
The Atlanta Hawks are now at home where they are 3-0 in the playoffs. Atlanta at home averages 87 points in the postseason, while holding their opponent to 83 points. How did game three turn out in Atlanta? The Bulls looked like the Atlanta Hawks of game one. They were more aggressive, getting more rebounds, shooting better, etc. At one point in the game, the Hawks fans were booing Atlanta like the Los Angeles fans were booing the Lakers of game two. They were also chanting MVP to Derrick Rose, who scored 44 points, a career high. He shot a lot better, he went 16 for 27, and made 4 of 7 from behind the arc. Keith Bogans scored six points. Even though that is not a lot of points, it is significant. Every time Bogans score six or more points, the Bulls are nearly unbeatable. The Bulls are now 29-2 (25-2 in the regular season and 4-0 in the postseason) with Bogans scoring six or more points tonight. For the Atlanta Hawks, their top performers were Jeff Teague, who scored 21 points, and Josh Smith, who had 17 points. Outside of those two guys, the Hawks had no support. Despite shooting 47% from the field, the Hawks looked horrible. If Atlanta plays like they performed in game three in the future, the Hawks will face their 16 straight second round exit. Game four is Sunday.
