Courtney Johns out for season, David Myers injured

ESSENDON'S injury-plagued Courtney Johns will require a full reconstruction of his knee after tests yesterday confirmed he had ruptured the left anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Bendigo last weekend.
Not sure where this leaves Johns, you have to feel for the bloke, he's giving it his all, but just can't crack the big time.
Young backman David Myers will also be unavailable after soreness in his right foot, which developed after the Fremantle game last Sunday week, was diagnosed as a stress reaction.
Myers, who was pick number six in the 2007 national draft and has played eight games this year, will be on a reduced training load for the next month. He is not expected to return before round 19.
Myers was progressing in leaps and bounds this year, his injury is a major setback.
