Dallas Prevails In Game Three

In the beginning of game three of the Western Conference Finals, one team played like it was its last game on Judgement Day. That team was the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks opened up the game with a 9-2 lead, and dominated the first half. At one point in the game, the Dallas Mavericks' biggest lead was 23 points. They led 52-36 at halftime. Dallas started out the second half on a 6-0 run. The top scorers for the Dallas Mavericks were Shawn Marion and Dirk Nowitzki with 18 points. Dirk Nowitzki went 7 for 21 in the game. For Oklahoma City, it lead scorer was Russell Westbrook with 30 points, followed by Kevin Durant who scored 24 points. Both players shot poorly from the field. Westbrook shot 8-20 while Durant made 7-22 of his shots. The Thunder missed it first 16 threes from the floor and finished with 1 of 17 from behind the arc. The Oklahoma City Thunder did strive back to make the game competitive at the end, but fell short, 93-87 at the end. The Dallas Mavericks now lead the series, two to one; gained back home court advantage. Game four is Monday in Oklahoma City.
