Dallas Ties Series
June 8th 2011 05:05
In the first quarter, Dallas should be up instead of being tied with the Miami Heat. J.J. Barea missed a wide open layup and Jason Terry missed a pair of free throws. The Miami Heat outrebounded the Dallas Mavericks 16-10, but the Heat had nine offensive rebounds. In the second quarter, Miami started on a 7-0 run. Desean Stevenson got the Mavericks going by hitting three 3s. The Mavericks trailed the Heat by two at halftime (47-45); Dirk Nowitzki got the flu during some time in the second quarter. He had a 102 degree fever. Anyway, Nowitzki scored 10 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter; the Dallas Mavericks outscored the Miami Heat 21-9 over the last 10:21 in the fourth quarter. At one point in the fourth quarter, Miami was up 74-65, which was it biggest lead in the game.
Dallas did not look like they could pull off another comeback like they did in game two. Jason Terry(Finished with 17 points) started the comeback by making six straight points (He was 0-7 combined in game 1 and 3 of the fourth quarter); capped the run by hitting two free throws to put the Mavericks up by three. This forced Miami Heat to shoot a three in order to send it into overtime, but D-Wade (Who finished with 32 points) mishandled an inbound pass with 6.7 seconds and gave it to Mike Miller who shot it, but it was way off. Chris Bosh, who was poked in the eye in game three, finished with 24 points, while LeBron James had only eight points, going 3 for 11 from the field. LeBron James had nine rebounds and seven assists as well. Dallas won 86-83; the series is now tied at two apiece. Game five is Thursday in Dallas.
