Free Betfair Trading Software

September 28th 2008 04:48
I was having trouble accessing Betfair via my 3 Mobile Broadband USB Stick - The login window at the top of the Betfair website would not load.

Puzzled, I searched around for a free downloadable Betfair software. The emphasis is on 'free'. I knew there was stacks of pay-for-use services, but I figured by now there should be something for knicks.

I discovered the 'The Betfair Trader' blog and from there found BetTrader.

Click here to visit the BetTrader site.

From here, download the software and away you go. You may need to wait a few hours for your Betfair username to be permissioned for API access. But once that has occurred you'll be betting in no time.

For the record, betting outside the web browser window is much easier, and a hell of a lot more fun!

Glen,

I am having the same trouble with the top of the betfair window on my 3 mobile broadband. Have you managed to fix this problem?

I will certianly give the software a go, but to log in to the website would be useful!

Hi Anon,

I had no luck with the 3 Broadbanc Card... Tried all browsers, all plug-ins, no luck.

Must be a connection problem or incompat error.

Download external software and it works fine.

BetTraders took around two days to activate my username for API access.

Or, call 3 Mobile for troubleshooting, though I doubt they'll have any idea!

Glen.

Oh well, was worth asking. I'd already been on 3 Mobile's online chat support and, as you point out, they were worse than useless. I can only imagine their system is blocking the download but the 'advisors' can't or won't help in that respect.

I downloaded BetTrader last night and it worked perfectly straight away - I didn't need to wait for API access, just logged straight in and got betting instantly which was a nice surprise!

Thanks for your reply,
Andrew

Andrew,

Great to hear you had no problems with BetTrader! I had to wait a few days for my username to be 'manually' activated (maybe ASIO is watching me)!

Hopefully the 3 Mobile Management Google their name and stumble across this post. It seems it will take a near-death experience to have things changed on their end.

Even if it works, BetTrader is still more fun to use anyway!

Cheers,

Glen
