Hawks, Lakers, and Mavericks Seal The Deal
April 29th 2011 07:09
The Atlanta Hawks won game six to close out the Orlando Magic's season. I guess Jameer Nelson will not see Derrick Rose in the second round unless he buys tickets to the games or watches the games on his television. Game six of this series was competitive through out, but the Magic came up short, and lost the game, 84 to 81. The Atlanta Hawks' top performer was Joe Johnson with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Magic's were led by Dwight Howard with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Unlike the Magic and Hawks game, the Lakers and Hornets game was not competitive at all. The Lakers won in a rout against the New Orleans Hornets, who did not put much of a fight at home, and lost 98 to 80. The Lakers were led by Kobe Bryant with 24 points and Andrew Bynum with 18 points and 12 boards, while the Hornets were led by Trevor Ariza with 12 points and CP3 with 10 points. The Dallas Mavericks had finished off the Portland Trail Blazers in six games. After a total collapse in game four, some people thought that the Portland Trail Blazer would come back in win the series, and that history would repeat itself of the Dallas Mavericks falling short in the playoffs. The last time the Dallas Mavericks lost in the first round was when they were a number one seed in 2007 against the Golden State Warriors. The Mavericks were led by Dirk Nowitzki with 33 points and 11 rebounds in a 103 to 96 win. The Trail Blazer were led by Gerald Wallace with 32 points and 12 rebounds. The Mavericks will face the Lakers in the second round of the Western Conference.
