With elimination staring in the face of the Chicago Bulls, they needed to continue to be aggressive like they did in game four. It seemed like in game four the Chicago Bulls were the aggressor of the two, but length and size were too much for them. In game five of a do or die for the Bulls, they fought hard and played aggressive most of the game. The Chicago Bulls seemed to rely on Derrick Rose too much. He scored only seven points in the fourth quarter, and finished with 25 points. He missed a critical free throw at the end that would have tied it at 81 apiece. With the Heat grabbing the rebound off the missed free throw, Chris Bosh hit two pivotal free throws that placed more pressure on the Bulls to keep their season alive. The Heat swarming defense got to the Bulls at the end, and Chicago did not get off a decent shot to tie the game and to send it into overtime. Rose did not get much help from his teammates. Luol Deng added 18 points, and that was about as much of help that he got. Rose shot 9 for 29from the field. For the Miami Heat, their lead man was LeBron James with 28 points. Dwyane Wade added 21 points, and Chris Bosh finished with 20 points. The Heat ended the game on a 18-3 run to wipe away a 12 point deficit. They won the game, 83-80, and the series, 4-1. They will face the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
