Sport Talk - by Scott 5

John Terry Saga

February 10th 2010 05:50
Well it's fair to say that Sport Talk has been having a field day, following the scandals over the past couple of weeks concerning then England captain John Terry,

I use the term, then England captain, for the simple reason that last Friday (AEST) John Terry was sacked as English captain by Fabio Capello following a high-profile example of infidelity with England teammate Wayne Bridge's girlfriend. Not only that, but he knocked her up, forcing her to have an abortion.

John Terry is as high-profile as they come and naturally people look up to and respect him for not only how he plays the game, but generally how he conducts himself. He's also Chelsea captain and earns something like £160k a week. This is looking at £10m over the next 5 years. This is a massive contract however money is not really relevant here. What is relevant is John Terry' fidelity not to mention some of his recent conduct.

Sadly for John Terry, he has a history of cheating on his wife with other women. Besides his wife, he is alledged to have had affairs with a selection of the following:

- Vanessa Perroncel
- Karina Clarke
- Jenny Baker (17 yr old in 2005 in car park scandal)

Alledgedly he's slept with 9 other women besides his wife.

Sport Talk is absolutely bewildered as to how this could be allowed to occur. Hasn't he learnt from what happened when Tiger Woods had his secret double life (sleeping with other women) exposed? Obviously not as he's slept with 9 other women over the past few years.

Sadly this is the 3rd strike for John Terry

Strike 1 - Taking people on private tours of the club facilities in exchange for £10k
Strike 2 - Selling advertising space on the captain's armband
Strike 3 - Having his private life exposed.

Sorry John, 3 strikes for stupidity and greed and Fabio Capello has made the right decision.

This is another blow for men everywhere who claim to be very loyal to their wives and girlfriends. All women would be asking the following:

If John Terry and Tiger Woods (people who are reasonably clean) can sleep with multiple women behind their partners' backs, would our man be doing the same?

This question leads to the employing of private investigators and leads to doubts and mistrust and frankly, as men, it's unfair that we could get lumped in the same category as Woods and Terry because of their actions potentially reflecting men worldwide (utter crap).

Seriously, I am absolutely disgusted and ropeable at the actions of Terry and the bigger question revolves around how this scandal will affect England's hopes at the World Cup in South Africa in 4 months time.
