Mavericks Out-Will Lakers To Go Up 3-0

May 7th 2011 04:44
The Lakers will not have Ron Artest in game three due to him clotheslining J.J. Barea in game two. He is suspended for this game because of that incident. This means the six man of the year, Lamar Odom, will start in his place. He has been averaging 10.5 points and 10.5 rebounds this series. Without Artest, the Lakers are missing his great defensive presence that he brings to the court.

How did the Lakers respond without Artest? After not having a lay up or a dunk in the first two games of the series, Kobe Bryant went four for four with nine points in the first half. He did have two fouls in the first half that caused him to sit out most of it. In the second half, he went 4 for 12, scoring eight more point. For Pau Gasol, after the first half and in most of the third quarter, Phil Jackson was so frustrated with Pau's performance that in a timeout near the end of the third, he got into Pau's body. After that discussion, he picked it up, finishing with 12 point and 8 rebounds. In the fourth quarter, after Kobe told Shannon brown to cut under Barea when guarding him, Shannon Brown put a nifty move on Jason Terry and scored a lay up on him. Then when the Lakers called timeout, Kobe went over to Brown, hugged him, and told Brown that he loved him. Now who is the f*gg*t, Kobe. But all kidding aside, Brown added 10 points off the bench. Lamar Odom added 18 points. For the Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki scored 32 points to led Dallas to a 3-0 lead over the Lakers. He shot 12 for 19 from the field. Jason Terry added 23 points off the bench and hit critical free throws near the end of the game, as the Maverick won, 98 to 92. The Mavericks bench outscored the Lakers bench, 42 to 15. No NBA has come back from a 3-0 hole. Teams that go up 3-0 in a series are 98-0. The Lakers need to pull a 2004 Boston Red Sox stunt. As a Laker fan, I am lost for words. I have to give a lot of credit to the Dallas Maverick, they are playing extremely well. Game four is Sunday and should be very interesting, where the Maverick will go for the sweep.

The Lakers have a newfound problem that has never bugged them in the playoffs, but it has reared its ugly head on them during this postseason, It's the fact that they are dysfunctional as a team playing together. You can see it. This isn't the same team that won those championships. Andrew Bynum is whining, quite pathetically, and he's making me sick. I love Lamar Odom because he's always open to criticism from Kobe. Bynum is really the big baby. He needs to deal with criticism, instead of playing worse. Bynum has been horrible defensively, something we're not accustomed too, and he needs to snap out of it. Instead of dealing with everything with his teammates, he starts talking to the press about how there's issues. It's quite evident that there are problems, but the only people that are going to solve them are your teammates. Actually talk to them and maybe things will change. Complaining about it to the press is only going to make things worse.

Yeah man I hear ya. Bynum needs to change his attitude. Pau needs to act tougher. Phil Jackson is worried. I just hope the Lakers do not get swept.
