Miami Clinches A Spot In The Conference Finals

In game five of the Miami vs. Boston series, Boston needed to win in order to keep their season alive. The location of the series had moved from Boston to Miami, where the Heat can clinch a spot in the Eastern Conference Championship Series in front of their home crowd. Miami was led by Dwyane Wade, who had 34 points and 10 rebounds, while going 9 for 12 at halftime. LeBron James had 33 points for Miami; scored the last 10 points of the game, putting an end to the game and the series. Chris Bosh added 14 points and 11 boards as Miami beat Boston, 97 to 87, to win the series, 4-1. The Heat scored the last 16 points of the game to clinch a spot in the Conference Finals. The led man for Boston was Ray Allen, who scored 18 points. Kevin Garnett added 15 points and 11 points, while Paul Pierce had 12 points. Miami will await the winner of the Chicago Bulls-Atlanta Hawks series. If the Bulls win tomorrow, the series of the Eastern Conference Finals will start on Sunday in Chicago. Miami is the second team to clinch a spot in the Conference Finals, Dallas is the first. Both teams are now half way there to make it to the NBA finals.
