World number one Rafael Nadal will miss Wimbledon due to long-standing problems with tendinitis in his knees.
As Sport Talk reported moments ago, Nadal decision's not to defend his title means Andy Murray will be elevated to the tournament's number two seed.
Nadal said the decision to miss Wimbledon was the hardest in his career, but told media he had struggled with the knee injury for some time.
"I have some time now to recover and will work very hard to return as soon as possible," he told the awaiting media.
