In the latest news, the Orlando Magic lost to the Atlanta Hawks yesterday, 88 to 84. The Hawks lead the series 2 to 1. Jamal Crawford hit a three near the end of the game to seal the game for Atlanta. The three pointer that Crawford made was ridiculous as it banks off the glass. He led Atlanta in scoring with 23 points, while Dwight Howard led the Magic with 21 points and 15 rebounds. It seems like what Jameer Nelson said to Derrick Rose about seeing him in the second round is not looking so great after all. The Magic have a chance of evening the series on Sunday in Atlanta's building. In other basketball news, the Lakers took a 2 to 1 series against the New Orleans Hornets, as the Black Mamba scored 30 points in the Lakers win, 100 to 86. Pau Gasol had a great comeback game and scored 17 points and 10 rebounds in game three, who struggled in game 2 with only 8 points. Carl Landry and Chris Paul led the New Orleans Hornets with 23 and 22 points, respectively. Moving on, after New York lost both games at Boston, they were looking to get game 3 in their own building without Chancey Billups, who did not play due to injury. Well, that did not happen, and Boston dominated the whole game and won 113 to 96 without Shaq O' neal, who has not played yet in the series. Boston was led by Ray Allen and Paul Pierce with 38 and 32, respectively. Both Ray and Paul combined for 14 threes (Ray went 8-11 and Paul 6-8) in their win against New York who has yet to find a win in the series.
For today, the Bulls will try to sweep the Indiana Pacer, which starts at 2:30 p.m at Indiana on the east coast. Derrick Rose, who is mostly lately the MVP, has averaged over 30 points in this series and will try to make his team, the first to advance to the second round today. The Bulls will face either the Orlando Magic or the Atlanta Hawks in the next round. The Mavericks and the Trail Blazers will play at 5:00 eastern time. The Blazers will try to tie the series at 2 in their building. The Spurs and Grizzlies are trying to break the tie at 1-1 tonight as the two square off. The Nuggets will try to get their first win in the series as they face the Thunder in game 3.
