Paul's Triple Double Even Series With Lakers
April 25th 2011 12:59
After the game one lost to the New Orleans Hornets, the Lakers looked like they have shaken off the jitters when they won the next two in the series. Yesterday, Chris Paul had a triple double, 27 points, 15 assists, and 13 rebounds in a win against the Lakers. Now, the series is tied at 2 to 2, and game 5 is headed back to the staples center. Kobe Bryant, who scored 30 points in the last game, had only 17 points, going 5 of 18 of shooting; went scoreless in the first half (0 for 7). At times in game 4, he would guard Chris Paul, who was unstoppable in this game. The two had got into it, especially when Chris Paul on one play, crossed Kobe Bryant for a lay up, and then he said something, and Kobe did not take it too lightly. Then it got worse for Kobe, when he rolled his ankle in the fourth after colliding with Willie Green. Even after Kobe injured himself really bad, the Lakers still fought hard to try to win the game. The Hornets went on a 12-3 run that made it 81-72, then the Lakers went on a 6-0 run that included a three by Steve Blake and a pull up jumper and a free throw by Kobe. Then in the final minute, the score was 88-86, New Orleans, but the Lakers could not overtake the lead. Jarrett Jack hit a shot while the shot clock was running down, and three free throws to put the game away. Game 5 is Tuesday.
