Rafa Wins Sixth French Title

Rafael Nadal showed why he is the King of Clay today. He came back from a 5-2 deficit in the first set to win five straight games to take the set, 7-5. Nadal won the second set, 7-6 (7-3 in the tie-breaker). He lost the third set, 5-7, and won the last set, 6-1, to win his sixth French Open title. Nadal is now tied with Bjorn Borg with the most French Open titles. His sixth French Open title was his 10th major as well. Nadal is the second youngest to reach 10 major titles; Borg was the youngest. Nadal improved his record to 45-1 at Roland Garros, and is now 17-8 against Roger Federer in head to head matches. The big difference in this match was the unforced errors. Nadal committed 27 unforced error, while Federer committed 56. In the fourth set, Roger Federer double-faulted and hit a forehand into the net, which gave Rafael Nadel a 3-1 lead. Roger Federer is 14-1 in Grand Slam against his opponents other than Nadal. Roger Federer is stuck at 16 Grand Slam titles. In Grand Slam matches, Nadal is 6-2 against Roger Federer. Federer lost four times to Nadal at the French Open, one at Wimbledon, and one at the Australian Open. There was a rain delay during the match, but that did not stop Nadal from capturing his sixth French Open title.
