The wide out for the Pittsburgh Steeler, Hines Ward, had a DUI on Saturday and was arrested for it. The Ravens' running back, Ray Rice, tweeted on his account: Well it looks like Hines Ward will miss week 1 when the lockout ends DUI charge not a good look. This had added fuel to the already fuel that is there in the Steelers-Ravens rivalry. The two teams are scheduled to meet in week one if the lockout is lifted by then. Ryan Clark, the Steelers' safety and one of Ward's teammates, stood up for him and tweeted back to Rice and said, “So glad you could weigh in. Thx.” Rice responded by saying, “it's whatever u wanna do bro you know how to find me.” Then Clark responded by tweeting, “I hear ya brother. Thought we were all better than that. Wouldn't speak negative of you. I'll find you! It's not hard. God bless.” Clark has delivered hard hits to Ravens players before. In the 2009 AFC Championship game, he took Willis McGahee out of the game with one of those hard hits. The two have stopped exchanging tweets. Clark answered a tweet from one of his followers by saying, “I support Hines to the fullest. I believe his name will be cleared in the end. A great player and better man!” Ward was arrested in Georgia for his DUI. His agent and attorney, Andrew Ree, released a statement Saturday afternoon saying, “we are confident that the facts will show that Hines was not impaired by alcohol while driving. Hines was deeply saddened by this incident and apologized to his fans and his team's organization for the distraction. Rice's cousin was killed by drunken driver in 1998. He helped the Maryland kick off its “Operation Checkpoint” campaign against drunk driving last August.
