Shaq Retires

The nineteen year veteran, Shaquille O'Neal, has made an annoucement that he will retirement over a new social media tool called Tout. Tout is a video messaging application that can be facilitated out to the social networking world. In his video message, Shaq told fans, “We did it. Nineteen years baby...” In his luscious nineteen year career, Shaquille O'Neal scored 28,596 points, which is fifth on the all-time scoring list. He won four NBA championships: Three with the Los Angeles Lakers (2000-02), and one with the Miami Heat in 2006. He was a fifteen time all-star, the 2000 NBA MVP, the 1993 Rookie of the Year, a three time NBA Finals MVP, thirteen season with 20 points and 10 rebounds (Most in NBA). Shaquille O'Neal was mostly a joker on and off the court. He had so many nicknames. His nicknames were: The Diesel, Shaq Fu, Superman, The Big Shaqtus, The Big Shamrock, etc. He had an incessant list of nicknames. What might have caused Shaq to retire? Maybe his strained calf and his Achilles flaring up. Shaq had said that, “I felt like someone had shot me in the back of my leg.” After those injuries, he did not play anymore in the regular season or in the New York Knicks series. Shaq only played eight and a half minutes in the Miami Heat series. Shaq said he wanted to retire because he felt that he was holding back Boston with his injuries and old age. He thanked his fans for all the love and support that they gave him.
