Spurs Survive, While Nuggets and 76ers Don't
April 28th 2011 11:44
Last night, three teams were on the verge of having their season ended, but one only survived. That team was the San Antonio Spurs, whose win did not come up easy. The rookie, Gary Neal, who did not get drafted, caught the inbound pass with 1.7 seconds left and drilled a three to send the game into overtime. Manu Ginobili was the top performer in the game, but the show belong to Gary Neal. Zach Randolph led the Memphis Grizzlies with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Moving on, the other two teams who had their season ended, were the 76ers and the Nuggets. The 76ers lost to Miami, 97 to 91, and the Heat were led by Dwyane Wade, who had 26 points, Chris Bosh, who had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Mario Chalmers, who had 20 points off the bench. The 76ers lead man was Andre Iguodala with 22 points and 10 rebounds. For the Nuggets, they lost to Oklahoma Thunder, 100 to 97. The Thunder were led by Kevin Durant with 41 points. The Nuggets were led by Arron Afflalo with 15 points. The Thunder will face either the Spurs or Grizzlies in the second round, and the Miami Heat will play Boston in the second round.
