In a do or die game for the memphis grizzlies, they got off to a slow to begin the game. They fell down by as much as seven in the opening quarter, 13-6. The Grizzlies picked it up by showing good movement and taking wide open shots. They hit two threes in the first quarter, and Memphis averages four made threes and 12 attempts of taking threes. They finished on top in the first quarter, 23-21. For Oklahoma City, Kevin Durant picked up two fouls and sat during the rest of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Oklahoma attacked the paint more, and went on a 16-4 run to be up 41-34. Memphis had bad transition defense in that quarter including leaving James Harden open for back to back threes made by him to increase Oklahoma City's biggest lead to 13 (52-39). Oklahoma City lead at half by 10, 54-44. Shane Battier hit a three at the buzzer to end the half. In the third quarter, Memphis started on a 11-2 run to get within one point of the Thunder. They played good defense and forced turnovers on the Thunder. The Grizzlies eventually took the lead at 2:10 when O.J. Mayo made a lay up plus he got fouled. They finished the quarter with a four point lead, 72-68. In the fourth quarter, the Memphis Grizzlies dominated and won 23-15 in that quarter. They got to the paint and played hard defense. Oklahoma dominated the first half, and Memphis dominated the second half. The Grizzlies won the game, 95-83. Memphis' top player was Zach Randolph with 30 points and 13 rebounds. O.J. Mayo added 16 points off the bench. Conley added 11 points and 12 assists. Oklahoma's top player was Russell Westbrook with 27 points. Kevin Durant, who is the back to back scoring champion, had 11 points. He averaged 27 points in the first five games. The Grizzlies force a game seven in Oklahoma on Sunday.
